In 2013, three art-inclined friends got together and thought to themselves, "how can we show our appreciation for such a wide range of fandoms, while also making sure such a project would be incredibly complex and time consuming?"

 

And thus, the Fandom Tarot project was born.

 

After successfully completing the Major Arcana consisting of 22 cards, they collectively decided that they didn't go hard enough, and decided to tackle the remaining 56 cards of the minor arcana as well. Having such a long term project ahead of them, they maintained their goal of making sure each card was accurately and properly represented by the chosen character(s), and based their imagery on the popular Rider-Waite deck symbolism.
